Fatima Sana Shaikh on Saif Ali Khan’s attack
Talking about Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident, Fatima Sana Shaikh said, “Ufff….kitni Dukh Ki baat hai kitna scary hai. Matlab imagine agar ghar main matlab bache ke saath Kuch hojaaye aise kaise koi aapke ghar main ghuske aapko stab kar sakta hai. And can get away. Matlab ghar toh safe space hota hai , suddenly this idea of what is being safe has become so whopped.”
(Ufff… how painful and scary this is. I mean, imagine if something happens at home, with your child—how can someone break into your house and stab you? And just get away? I mean, home is supposed to be a safe space. But suddenly this whole idea of what is being safe has become so whopped.)

She added, “And yeh toh actor hai, security hogi, building bhi matlab security wali hogi matlab kaise hogaya. Mujhe abhi pata chala li mere jaan pehchaan ke ghar pe , ek chor ghusa aur woh aadmi soya tha, woh uncle soye the aur woh bag se kuch… usko pata tha bag kidhar hai. Aur woh bag se kuch nikaal raha tha. And that uncle started running behind him, but aapke gharpe koi ghuske chori kar raha hai jab aap bed pe soye ho. Koi kaleshi insaan yaa jab aise koi violent aadmi hota woh toh maar dalta.”
(And this person is an actor, so there must be security, the building must have security too—how did this happen? I just found out that at a house I know, a thief broke in while the man was sleeping. The uncle was asleep and the thief was taking something from his bag—he knew exactly where the bag was. And the uncle started running after him, but imagine someone breaking into your house and stealing while you’re asleep in bed. A cruel or violent person could have even killed him.)
Fatima calls out people for making memes on Saif’s attack
Shaikh concluded, “Ufff so scary, I hope woh mil jaaye. I mean it is so sensitive, kisi ki jaan khatre main hai, family khatre mai hai yaa trauma main hai aap kaise iss cheez ka mazaak udda sakte ho? Aap itni choti soch wale kaise ho sakte ho, I mean masti wasti sab thik hai, hum bhi memes dekhte hai. Main toh bahut enjoy karti hoon memes but not at the expense of somebody’s pain yaar, this is horrible. Logo main sensitivity nahi hai clearly.”
(Ufff, it’s so scary, I hope they catch him. I mean, this is so sensitive—someone’s life is in danger, their family is in danger, or they’re in trauma—how can you make a joke out of something like this? How can you think so small-mindedly? I mean, fun and memes are fine, we all watch memes. I enjoy them too, but not at the expense of someone’s pain, man, this is horrible. People clearly lack sensitivity.)
